Dante Robere sets special summer events

Stop by Dante Robere Vineyards in Livermore for a variety of special events this summer.

The winery, located at 1200 Wetmore Road across from northern entrance to Sycamore Grove Park, is open for tasting on Fridays from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

Owners Dan Rosenbeg and Bob Bossi, friends for more than 30 years, started to get serious about making wine in 2007 when Dan planted Zinfandel vines in his backyard. Their families bought the Wetmore Road site and launched Dante Robere in 2012.

During the summer, the patio on the southside of the tasting room is a prime spot. Enjoy live music on June 27 with Tempranillo and Tacos. We enjoyed wine on the patio on a hot June afternoon and found it delightful. A second Tempranillo and Taco with live music is set for Aug. 1.

Celebrate the Fourth of July weekend on Friday, July 5th from noon to 5 p.m. with wine, barbecue from OueSquared and live music.

Friday, July 19 the winery will be open late until 8 p.m. with sliders, Irish Nachos and more from Rustic Roadhouse plus live music.

The following day will be a special fundraiser for Unravel Pediatric Cancer with wine, great food and onsite vendors to benefit the children’s charity.

Dante Robere specializes in small lot red wines and released a rose, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc this year.
