Indian Wells unveils “Shots in the Night”

Indian Wells Golf Resort will unveil a new after dark golf and entertainment experience called “Shots in the Night” on October 18th. The new attraction will be open for public play Thursday through Saturday from sundown until 10 p.m. and will feature Glow Golf on the practice range, NextLinks Putting Green Games on the seven-green putting course, a new food truck dining option, music and clubhouse food and drink specials.

“Shots in the Night” will be perfect for families, small groups, corporate outings or guests looking to extend their day of fun at Indian Wells Golf Resort’s award-winning facility. Games are designed for golfers of all skill levels, including beginners or those who do not play golf frequently. Packages are available for private parties with food and beverage included. “Shots in the Night” will include the following attractions:

Glow Golf on the Range: From one of 12 tee stations, participants attempt to hit large inflatable lit-up bowling pins and beach balls with glow-in-the-dark golf balls. Placed at various distances on the practice range, the inflatable objects make sounds and change colors when struck with a golf ball. Glow Golf games include Closest-to-the-Pin, High Score, 21, Lights-Out and Cricket. Groups or individuals can rent a tee station for $40 per hour for up to six people.

Putting Green Games: The seven-green putting course is illuminated with overhead colored lasers projecting various games onto the putting surface, while TVs mounted on truss structures throughout the course have sporting events playing on them. Developed by Santa Ana, California-based NextLinks, app-driven games and activities include Horse, Golf Darts, Shuffleboard, Corn Hole, and Around-the-World. Players simply sign into an iPad on a stand beside the putting green and choose their desired game. Groups or individuals can rent an individual green for $40 per hour for up to six people.

Food Truck Dining: Indian Wells Golf Resort’s new food truck is staffed and operated by the Vue Grille and Bar and is led by Sous Chef Michael Mann. The food truck features a fun and delicious menu, including: Bacon & Jalapeño Mac n Cheese Balls; an Ahi Poke Cone; Short Rib Grilled Cheese; and Rueben Sliders.

Vue Grille & Bar: For those looking for a more complete dining experience, guests can also enjoy food and drink at the Vue Grille & Bar located on the second floor of the clubhouse. In addition to delicious food items, the Vue Grille and Bar features famous martinis, mojitos and a selection of more than 200 whiskies.

Social Scene: Already a favorite hangout for golfers and non-golfers alike, the new “Shots in the Night” attraction makes Indian Wells Golf Resort the place to be after the sun goes down.

“Our new ‘Shots in the Night’ venue is incredible,” said Steve Rosen, general manager, Indian Wells Golf Resort. “Its cosmic bowling, combined with the playability of mini-golf, mixed with an outdoor night club atmosphere. ‘Shots in the Night’ is a terrific evening entertainment option for Coachella Valley residents and guests staying at nearby resorts.”
