Relief may be on the way for golfers and tennis players throughout the Bay Area according to reports on Wednesday.
Six Bay Area counties ā Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara, as well as Berkeley, which has its own health department, announced that some businesses that operate outdoors and some outdoor recreational facilities that were closed under previous orders, will be allowed to reopen effective May 4.
The new order includes golf, tennis, and skate parks to name a few. Sports that require person-to-person contact or shared equipment will still be banned.
Golf courses are beginning to reopen around the state under stringent guidelines with respect to social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
