Silverado Resort and Spa has been named to Golfweek’s Best 2019: Top 200 Resort Courses in the United States list. Silverado Resort and Spa’s Johnny Miller-designed North Course placed No. 149 on the publication’s prestigious ranking.
“It’s exciting to have the North Course recognized by the Golfweek raters,” said Cody Sherrill, director of golf operations, Silverado Resort and Spa. “We’ve made a number of golf course and resort improvements in recent years that have raised the overall experience for guests. Special thanks to our agronomy, golf and resort staffs for their hard work and dedication.”
Silverado Resort and Spa is Napa Valley’s only 36-hole golf resort. The 7,166-yard, par 72 North Course annually hosts the Safeway Open, while the 6,612-yard, par 72 South Course is a favorite among members and resort guests. Both courses were re-designed by Johnny Miller. In addition to two 18-hole golf courses, Silverado features 340 guest rooms, a full service Spa, 10 tennis courts and 10 swimming pools, all in close proximity to Napa Valley’s 540-plus wineries.
Every year, Golfweek’s elite team of course raters, which currently boasts more than 850 evaluators, surveys more than 3,600 courses – grading each nominated course on the basis of Golfweek’s 10 strict standards of evaluation. Collectively, these knowledgeable raters have turned in more than 75,000 votes to compile Golfweek’s Best Courses lists.
Silverado Resort and Spa can be experienced in many ways; including golf stay and play packages, golf groups of 12 or more players, through lessons and golf schools at the Johnny Miller Golf Academy or by becoming a member and joining the Silverado community.
