The week after the final major of the season, and one that was played in Europe often times means the PGA Tour event that follows the next week can be full of no names.
That’s not the case for the 3M Open that is being played at the TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota.
For starters the purse is $8.8 million, with the winner taking home $1.58 million.
Scottie Scheffler, the world’s top ranked player, has entered, making his debut and is the first No. 1 player since 2019 when Brooks Koepka played in the tournament.
Kurt Kitayama of Chico is back to defend his title he won last year with a 23-under par score.
The tournament also scored a major win when Ryan Fox of New Zealand, who is entered, won The Open Championships last week.
Gary Woodland, Tom Kim, Jake Knapp, and Maverick McNealy are also entered.
Television coverage is as follows: Thursday-Friday from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. on Golf Channel. The coverage for Saturday-Sunday is 10 a.m.-12 noon on Golf Channel, and 12 noon-3 p.m. on CBS.
