2024 Presidents Cup players commit to field at Procore Championship!

The Procore Championship, set for Sept. 12–15 in Napa Valley, will welcome 11 members from Presidents Cup teams, including team captains Jim Furyk and Mike Weir, three captain’s assistants, and six players who will tee it up in Montreal, Canada Sept. 24–29.  The addition of these players to the field helps strengthen an already impressive lineup of players who will compete in the 11th consecutive PGA TOUR event at Silverado Resort.

U.S. Team

The U.S. Team will also have a strong presence at the Procore Championship, led by team captain Jim Furyk, the 17-time PGA TOUR winner and former U.S. Open champion. While Furyk won’t be competing in the Procore Championship, he will be onsite to spend time with team representatives, offering his invaluable experience and leadership. His strategic insights and guidance have been instrumental in shaping the team, which will be crucial as they prepare for the Presidents Cup. Joining Furyk are Captain’s Assistants Kevin Kisner and Stewart Cink.  Kisner is a four-time PGA TOUR winner known for his tenacity and match-play expertise, who competed in the Presidents Cup in 2017 and 2022.  Cink, an eight-time PGA TOUR winner, has appeared in four Presidents Cups (2000, 2005, 2007, 2009), and won the tournament in Napa in 2020.

Joining them is Wyndham Clark, who claimed his first major title at the 2024 U.S. Open. Clark’s breakout season has included multiple top finishes, making him poised to make a significant impact both in Napa and at the Presidents Cup. Sahith Theegala, who will be defending his title at the Procore Championship, will be making his Presidents Cup debut this year. Theegala, known for his consistent performances and creative play, has quickly become one of the most exciting young players on the TOUR. Joining Theegala is Max Homa, a six-time PGA TOUR winner and two-time Procore Championship winner (2021, 2022). Known for his consistency and strong finishes, Homa’s ability to perform under pressure will be a valuable asset to the U.S. Team as he competes in Montreal and Napa.

International Team

The International Team will be well-represented at the Procore Championship, led by team captain Mike Weir (Canada), an eight-time PGA TOUR winner who has a formidable record at the Presidents Cup, with 13 wins, 9 losses, and 2 ties. Weir is one of only six International Team members with 10 or more match wins in Presidents Cup competition. Supporting Weir as a Captain’s Assistant is Camilo Villegas (Columbia), a four-time PGA TOUR winner known for his athleticism and careful approach to the game. Villegas brings valuable experience and leadership to the team, having turned pro in 2004.

Joining Weir and Villegas in the field at the Procore Championship and on the International Team at the Presidents Cup is Min Woo Lee (Australia), a three-time winner on the DP World Tour, known for his impressive breakthrough victory at the Scottish Open in 2021. Lee’s explosive play and dynamic shot-making have quickly made him a rising star on the PGA TOUR. Corey Conners (Canada), who won his first two PGA TOUR titles at the Valero Texas Open in 2019 and 2023 and has represented the International Team in past Presidents Cups, will also be in the field next week. Rounding out the team, Mackenzie Hughes (Canada), a two-time PGA TOUR winner, will be making his first appearance at the Presidents Cup and will also be playing at the Procore Championship, offering a wealth of knowledge and experience to the international squad.
