Where’s the PGA Tour this week?

The second stop in the Texas swing takes place this week with the Valero Open at the TPC San Antonio.

Overshadowing this stop each year is that The Masters takes place next week, which keeps the tournament from attracting a field of the golf’s elite players.

In fact, the top two ranked players in the world entered are Tommy Fleetwood (4) and Collin Morikawa (8).

But then purse is still $9.8 million last year’s winner Brian Harman brought home a check of $1.7 million.

Fleetwood already has three top-10 finishes this year and is coming off a week where he helped the LAGC to the second SoFi Cup in TGL last week.

Russell Henley, Sepp Straka, and former Valero winner J.J. Spaun are the other top 20-ranked players in the field.

Last week’s emotional Texas Children’s Houston Open winner Gary Woodland withdrew from the field on Tuesday.
