San José State women’s golfer Antonia Malate has been named the Mountain West Women’s Golfer of the Week.
For the second consecutive week, a Spartan women’s golfer has been honored by the conference. Malate earned the honor after finishing second at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational on Tuesday. In her best collegiate finish, she shot a one-over 217 for the tournament including a 72 in the first and third rounds. Malate led the tournament in par-five scoring and eagles made with two. Malate and the Spartans finished fourth at the tournament.
This is the second career honor for Malate. Her other honor came after the 2020 Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational when she finished sixth.
