Six teams – three from the north and three from the south in California – converged on Poppy Hills on November 16 for the California Interscholastic Federation Girls’ Golf Championships, and it was the north that stood tall, taking the first three spots in the final order!
Granite Bay took the team title with a 16-over-par, easily topping second place Palo Alto that finished at 32-over. Valley Christian of San Jose completed that the NorCal sweep finishing at 33-over.
Leigh Chan (University) took the individual title shooting a 3-under 68. Ashley Yun (Walnut) also shot a 68, but Chan took the title with a birdie on the first playoff hole.
Jaclyn LaHa of Amador Valley, the NorCal individual champion, finished 8th with a 1-0ver 72.
