PeakVision continues to produce high-quality sunglasses!

I will admit – I have turned into a sunglass snob.

Growing up I was the type of kid that wore the $2.99 sunglasses you could pick up at the checkout stand of your local supermarket.

As I grew older, my taste didn’t really change and there was no rhyme nor reason as to how I picked out my shades other than they were cheap.

Then I became a golfer.

It started in college, but that was really beer golf – you know the college student, “beer a hole,” mentality. Out of college, my game was better, but working full-time meant not getting to play a lot of golf.

Then I started writing about golf and the ability to play nicer courses made me step up the level of my game. Along that time came the importance of the sunglasses.

Obviously, they are a necessity on the course, especially playing in California, but I had one problem with most glasses I tried. Every time I got on the green, I didn’t feel like I could get a good read on my putt with my glasses on.

The result was to take the glasses off while putting. Not the worst thing in the world, but something I wanted to avoid.

Enter PeakVision.

The company was launched in 1997 by J Paul Moore, who realized there were no glasses that provided undistorted vision. It took four years of research and development before Moore succeeded with a lens technology that ended optical distortion in all sports.

I got my first pair maybe 10-12 years and have been a fan ever since. There’s no longer a reason to take the glasses off on the green. I can see my line clearly, not just on the green, but tracking my ball throughout the course.

In 2017 the father/son team of David and Nicholas Feaser bought the company and have continued the legacy started by Moore.

I recently got a new pair of PeakVision glasses – the SL9.

Built for the bigger head, the SL9 is as good as it gets in my mind.

Made from aluminum magnesium for lightweight durability, the SL9 features a fully adjustable hypo-allergenic nose bridge for maximized performance and spring hinges for added flexibility.

The SL9 features our non-polarized dual zone lens technology with the clarity of crown glass, to deliver the clearest, sharpest vision in both lighting extremes, the bright sky versus the darker turf and terrain below the horizon.

RA filters are built into the front and back side of the lens, to combat against glare from all angles.

And they stay on whether I am on the green or out on the fairway – or in the rough!

They are fairly priced at $139.99, and it is a decision you will not regret. If you see me out on the course, come by and try them out – they will always be with me.
