The San José State women’s golf team starts the season on Monday at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate. The Spartans are ranked in the top-15 in two preseason polls. The team is 13th in the Preseason Mizuno Women’s Golf Coaches Association poll, while SJSU is ranked 14th in the Golfweek preseason rankings.

- Lucia Lopez Ortega – Runner up at the 2023 NCAA Championships
- Rebecca Gyllner – returning for her sophomore season
- Darae Chung – redshirt from New Zealand, won the NZ U19 championship when she was 15
- Tessa Kremser – newcomer from Germany, finished sixth at ANNIKA Invitational Europe 2022
A Bay Area/Northern California heavy schedule highlights the San José State women’s golf team competitions for the 2023-24 season. The team will play six tournaments or match play events in the Bay Area or surrounding area this season.
SJSU starts the season next week at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M.
The 54-hole event is held annually at the Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minn., and features 12 of the top Division I women’s golf programs in the country.
The team then returns home for the Molly Collegiate, played at the Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, September 25-26. The Spartans last played in the tournament in 2021 when the team finished tied for second with UCLA, and Natasha Andrea Oon tied for second at even-par 216.
The Spartans go back on the road to just outside of Chicago for the Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah at the famous Medinah Country Club, October 9-10.
