Where is the PGA Tour this week?

“Where is the PGA Tour this week”

It’s almost possible for the PGA Tour players that took part in last week’s CJ Cup Byron Nelson and this weeks Charles Schwab Challenge to stay at the same lodging property for both events.

For the second straight week the PGA Tour takes place in the greater Dallas area as the Tour moves from the TPC Craig Ranch to Colonial Country Club.

It is going to be one of the weakest fields in terms of world-ranked players as J.J. Spaun (9) is the only player in the top 10 world rankings in the field.

Although the field lacks top-10 star power, it still includes several recognizable names that will attract attention.

Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Rickie Fowler, and Ludvig Aberg are just some of the players making up the field.

Aberg is most interesting. Largely proclaimed as one of the games budding superstars he has yet to get over and get a defining tournament win.

He has been playing well, notching six top-10 finishes in his last seven starts. He makes his debut at the tournament.

The defending champ is Ben Griffin and is No. 17 in the world rankings.

This is third year that Colonial hosts the tournament after its major renovation by Gil Hanse.

The tournament will be televised Thursday-Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the Golf Channel. On Saturday it is from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Golf Channel, then from 12 noon to 3:30 p.m. on CBS. Sunday the tournament will air from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Golf Channel and 12 noon to 3 p.m. on Golf Channel.
