Moa Andersson shot a 2-under 70 to finish the first round tied for third at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M, as the San José State women’s golf team started the 2025-26 season tied for seventh at 10-over 298.
- Andersson made six birdies during her round, tying with three others for the most made in the first round.
- She made her first birdie on her first hole of the day, the par-4 10th, and ended with a birdie on the par-5 9th. She made birdies on three of her final five holes of the round.
- Andersson is one of just eight players in the field who shot under par in the first round
- Andersson is the only returning Spartan in the lineup as four freshmen made their Spartan debut on Monday.
- Lotte Schuhr shot a 3-over 75 and is tied for 22nd. She made birdies on holes nine and 18 during her round.
- Regina Roldan recorded a 4-over 76 and is tied for 33rd. She had birdies on the par-3 12th and par-5 9th holes and made 11 pars.
- Ting Yu Chang is tied for 38th at 5-over 77, while Kleopatra Kozakiewicz is tied for 58th at 10-over 82.
- The Spartans are tied with Arizona State in seventh place at 10-over 298. They are 11 shots behind Northwestern who shot a 1-under 287, the only team under par for the day.
- The tournament field features six of the top-10 teams in the Golfweek Preseason Poll, including defending national champion Northwestern.
