Junior Constance Fouillet set a women’s old course record with a 9-under par 63 and the California women’s golf team captured the St. Andrews Links Collegiate title Wednesday with a 4.5-1.5 victory over Princeton in the match play championship.

Fouillet recorded eight birdies and an eagle on Hole No. 10 to defeat the Tigers’ Thanana Kotchasanmanee 4-up. Fouillet birdied five consecutive holes from 5 through 9 on what is considered the oldest golf course in the world.

Junior Jasmine Kahler and freshman Michelle Woo each won matches 5-up while sophomore Marie-Agnes Fischer also registered a victory for the Golden Bears, who notched their first tournament win since taking the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Colorado in October 2023.

Cal advanced to the match play championship round after winning the stroke play competition on Monday and Tuesday at 5-under par, 19 strokes ahead of runner-up Princeton.

The St. Andrews Links Collegiate is a unique, intercollegiate competition featuring both men’s and women’s teams from four institutions at what is commonly referred to as “The Home of Golf.” Along with Cal and Princeton, Michigan State and the University of St. Andrews rounded out the 2025 field.

The Bears will now return home to the states and prepare for their last tournament of the fall – the Nanea Invitational in Kailua Kona, Hawai’i.
