Kleopatra Kozakiewicz made the biggest leap up the leaderboard on Thursday to help the San José State women’s golf team finish second at the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Women’s Golf Championship at the Mission Hills Country Club.
- Kozakiewicz shot a 3-under 69 in the final round, jumping up 16 spots, to finish tied for eighth at 3-over 219. Her only blemish on her scorecard with a bogey on the par-4 third hole. Otherwise, she made four birdies and 13 pars during her round, shooting 35-34.
- She finished tied for second in the field in fewest bogeys made with five and tied for fifth in pars made at 38 over her 54 holes played.
- Four Spartans finished in the top 20 at the championship. Kozakiewicz and Regina Roldan tied for eighth at 3-over 219. Roldan finished the tournament with an even-par 72, making two birdies, 14 pars and two bogeys. She birdied her final hole to shoot a 34 on the back nine.
- Lotte Schuhr finished 13th at 5-over 221, shooting a 75 in the final round. She made three birdies on Thursday and finished with four consecutive pars made.
- Tessa Kremser tied for 17th at 7-over 223, shooting a 76 in the final round, finishing her final six holes with a birdie and five pars.
- Moa Andersson finished tied for 28th at 11-over 227. She made an eagle in the final round on the par-5, 501-yard ninth hole as she shot a 3-over 75. Andersson was one of five players in the field to make an eagle over the three rounds.
- San José State finished second in the tournament, two shots behind champion UNLV. The Spartans shot a 291 in the final round to finish at 16-over par.
- The team led the field in par-4 scoring at +21 and fewest bogeys made at 44.
