Kajsa Arwefjäll recorded her fifth top-10 finish of the season as she tied for eighth place at two-over 218, while the San José State women’s golf team tied for seventh with Iowa State at the Silverado Showdown played at the Silverado Resort and Spa.
Arwefjäll shot an even-par 72 in the final round. Starting on the eighth hole, she went one-over on her first hole, but rebounded with birdies on #11, #13 and #14. Arwefjäll tied for the third-most pars made with 38.
Louisa Carlbom finished tied for 31st at 11-over 227. She shot a four-over 76 in the final round, making five birdies and seven pars on the day.
Antonia Malate shot a four-over 76 Wednesday and tied for 38th at 12-over 228. She made two birdies and 10 pars over her final round.
Jordyn Parr recorded a one-over 73 and tied for 44th at 230. Starting on the 10th hole today, she started with three pars, a birdie and three more pars before finishing bogey-birdie for one under over her first nine holes. She made seven pars and two bogeys over her final nine holes for her 73.
Jadan Gonzalez tied for 63rd at 239 and shot a seven-over 79 in her final round. She made back-to-back birdies on #8 and #9.
San José State finished tied for seventh with Iowa State at 899 (+35). The Spartans shot a 297 in the final round and finished ahead of Mountain West foes UNLV (+46) and San Diego State (+50). USC shot a seven-under 281 in the final round to pass UCLA for the team title at two-under 862.
The Spartans do not play again until the Mountain West Championships, April 20 and 21.
