Essentials of Thoroughbred Ownership seminar set!

The Thoroughbred Owners of California (TOC) will be holding a seminar on ā€œEssentials of Thoroughbred Ownership,ā€ this Thursday, June 22 at the Alameda County Fair.

The seminar will take place on the Grandstand Stage at the Fair, located right outside the racing grandstands from 2-4 p.m.

Enjoy a panel discussion will focus on:

  • Ownership experience
  • Acquiring Thoroughbreds
  • Race day insights
  • Aftercare
  • Horse conformation

After the panel discussion there will be time for questions, followed by a tour of the paddock and the winnerā€™s circle.

The following people will be involved in the panel: Johnny Taboada (owner), Simon Hobson (trainer), Matilda Burnham (jockey, and Emma Gurnick (aftercare liaison). Horse racing publicist/handicapper Dennis Miller will be the moderator for the event.

Wayne Atwell, the Northern California Director of Operations for the TOC will conduct the paddock and winnerā€™s circle tours.

Prospective and existing owners welcome, TOC membership encouraged but not required. Parking and admission free with a CHRB license.
