The Journey golf course at the Pechanga resort in Temecula has a new take on Halloween candy. Taking a page from the book of many dentists, the course has added its own spin.

Nov. 1 through Nov. 11, any junior showing up with a full bag or bucket of Halloween candy will receive a free golf lesson. Children can be between the ages of three and 18. Lessons will teach juniors about proper swing, balance and grip. Giving up the candy also sends the message of proper nutrition.

The candy will go to U.S. troops stationed overseas through the “Operation Gratitude” program.

Candy can be dropped off in the pro shop between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. daily. The free, one-hour lessons are offered on the Saturday or Sunday of their choice.
