SJSU Golfer Kajsa Arwefjäll Playing at Augusta!

San José State women’s golfer Kajsa Arwefjäll, ranked 51st on the WAGR, begins play at the 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur on Wednesday, April 3.

Arwefjäll teed off at 5:46 a.m. PT on Wednesday with Sadie Englemann of Stanford and Andrea Revuelta from Spain off of the 10th tee.

The field consists of 72 women amateurs who will compete in 54 holes of stroke play. A cut will take place after the second round as the top-30 players and ties will advance to the final round at Augusta National Golf Club.

The first 36 holes will be played on the Island and Bluff nines at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., April 3 and 4. The entire field will play Augusta National for an official practice round on Friday, April 5. The final round will take place at Augusta National on Saturday, April 6.

The 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur champion (provided she stays an amateur) will receive an invitation to the next five Augusta National Women’s Amateurs, the 204 U.S. Women’s Open, the 2024 Women’s Open, 2024 Chevron Championship, the 2024 Evian Championship and any USGA, R&A and PGA of America amateur championships for which she is eligible for one year.
