SJSU WGolf Finishes Fall Schedule at Stanford Intercollegiate

The 13th-ranked San José State women’s golf team finishes the fall portion of the schedule in the Bay Area this weekend as the team travels up Interstate 280 for the Stanford Intercollegiate this Friday-Sunday, October 202-22, at the Stanford Golf Course. Admission is free to all who want to come watch the Spartans compete against the top teams in the country this weekend.

Lineup (Friday tee time)

The Spartans will play 18 holes each day, with tee times the first two days. The team starts the tournament bright and early Friday morning, playing with 12-th ranked Southern California beginning at 7:30 a.m., off of the first tee. Saturday’s tee times for the Spartans will begin around 11:45 a.m., and Sunday is an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

Of the 159 teams in the field, 12 are ranked in the top-25 of the Golfweek rankings.

San José State has finished in the top-four in the first three tournaments played this season – fourth at the very competitive ANNIKA Invitational, third at the Molly Collegiate Invitational and fourth last week at the Illini Women’s Invitational.

The Spartans will be without Kajsa Arwefjäll this weekend as she will be part of the Sweden team playing at the World Amateur Team Championships in Abu Dhabi, UAE, October 25-28, at the National Course at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
