Team Sweden

Kajsa Arwefjäll (San José State, 37th on WAGR)

Meja Örtengren (10th on WAGR)

Ingrid Lindblad (LSU, #1 world amateur)

The reigning Mountain West Player of the Year, Arwefjäll finished in the top-10 in two of the three tournaments she played in this fall. She tied for second with teammate Lucia Lopez Ortega at The Molly Collegiate Invitational with a 9-under 207. Arwefjäll tied for ninth at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate where it was announced prior to the tournament that she was named to the Preseason ANNIKA Award Watch List.

Over the summer, Arwefjäll advanced to the quarterfinals of The Women’s Amatuer where she lost to Lindblad 4&3.

First held in 1958, the WATC includes 72 holes of stroke play competition. Each country fields two or three players with the two lowest scores counting per round. The usual biennial competition is being played in back-to-back years to avoid future conflicts with the Summer Olympic Games.
