Lucia Lopez Ortega and Rebecca Gyllner each shot a 1-under to lead the San José State women’s golf team to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Cle Elum Regional at the Tumble Creek Golf Club. With the fifth-place finish, the Spartans advance to the NCAA Championships final site for the 24th time in school history.
- Four Spartans finished in the top-30 individually, led by Kajsa Arwefjäll who finished tied for ninth at 3-over 219. She had a 3-over 75 in the final round, making four birdies on the day.
- Lopez Ortega finished 18th at 6-over 222, after shooting a 71 in the final round. She made six birdies in the final round and played the final 10 holes under par.
- Louisa Carlbom and Gyllner tied for 30th at 10-over 226. Carlbom shot a 3-over 75 and sank back-to-back birdies on 14 and 15.
- Gyllner was under par for her entire round, making a birdie on her first hole of the day (10) and was 3-under for her first nine holes. She finished with four birdies during her round.
- Moa Andersson moved up one place and tied for 35th at 12-over 228. She made two birdies on the day including on her final hole of the day.
- The Spartans shot the third-lowest team score of the day with a 4-over 292, and made 18 birdies during the round.
- San José State was third in the field in birdies made with 39.
