San José State women’s golfer Rebecca Gyllner has been named the Mountain West Freshman Women’s Golfer of the Week for her performance this week at the Battle of the Bay.
*She helped the Spartans to a match-play victory over No. 1 Stanford at the Battle of the Bay, winning 3-2-1
*Tied No. 1 World Amateur Rose Zhang over 18 holes
*Won the 18th hole to secure the tie
