SJSU’s Mark Hubbard to play in the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Playoffs, Kevin Velo Earns Status on Korn Ferry Tour for 2022-23 Season

Mark Hubbard, a 2011 San José State graduate, has earned a spot in the first round of the PGA Tour’s FedExCup playoffs and Kevin Velo, a 2019 San Jose Staté graduate, has earned status on the Korn Ferry Tour for next season, 2022-23, which is one step below the PGA Tour. Hubbard is No. 90 in the standings with the first playoff event this weekend at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Velo finished his first season No. 4 in the PGA Tour Latinoamérica’s Totalplay Cup standings and that earned him Korn Ferry Tour membership for the upcoming season.

  • Earned All-Mountain West accolades during his senior season in 2018-19
  • Tallied a team-best scoring average of 71.40 as a senior
