Where’s the PGA Tour this week?

If someone tells you Rory McIlroy is going to win this week at the Truist Championship, you might want to listen to them.

The tournament returns to the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina and that’s a course where McIlroy has won four times.

Given that McIlroy is coming off a win in the Masters where he was only the fourth golfer to win back-to-back Masters, as well as the second major is on the horizon next with the PGA, expect his game to be sharp.

With the PGA next week, the field is a strong one, as they take on a course that had major renovations last year.

Included in the field is the red hot Cameron Young who wired the field last week in winning the Cadillac Championship. Young has five top ten finishes this year and won The Players earlier this season.

The world’s top ranked golfer Scottie Scheffler is sitting this week out as he prepares for the PGA.

Earlier this year I wrote about how the closing three holes at The Players is the toughest mentally on the tour, this week the Truist has the longest and most physically challenging holes.

Look at the distances: No. 15 – 577-yards, par 5; No. 16 – 529 yards, par 4; No. 17 – 190 yards, par 3; No. 18 – 494 yards, par 4.
