Rangefinders are certainly useful on the golf course as they give the golfer much more accurate information than the yardage on a sprinkler head, which is the distance to the middle of the green.
But if you’re like me, sometimes the hands get a bit shaky and it’s hard to shoot the pin consistently or quickly. When I am playing with my son, there is nothing to worry about, but when I am out on the course by myself, it can inconsistent.
Not to worry, Bushnell Golf has a product called the Phantom which is a GPS rangefinder.
There are over 36,000 courses pre-loaded from over 30 countries. The display screen is easy to read and offers front/center/back distances, as well as up to four hazard distances per hole.
There is a long battery life, allowing for 36 holes of play before needing to charge the unit.It also has auto-course recognition.
It was nice during the round to look at the range finder and get the needed information without having to worry about being able to shoot the pin.
In addition, purchase a Phantom and get the Bushnell Golf App which offers hole layouts with distance and 3D flyovers with distance.
It’s a wonderful product and one I highly recommend.
