TMRW Sports announced Arthur M. Blank as the first team owner for WTGL, a new women’s team golf platform launched in partnership with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), with a team representing Atlanta. Preparing for a winter 2026-27 launch, WTGL will feature a season of fast-paced team match play at the custom-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Atlanta’s WTGL team will be owned by Blank and operated by AMB Sports and Entertainment, joining
Atlanta Drive GC – the defending champion of TGL’s inaugural season – as well as the Atlanta Falcons (NFL), Atlanta United FC (MLS), NWSL Atlanta 2028, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and PGA TOUR Superstore in Blank’s sports portfolio. The announcement was made today by Blank, owner and chairman of the Blank Family of Businesses, and Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports, the parent company of TGL and WTGL.
“We are thrilled to partner with TMRW Sports to be a founding owner in WTGL,” said Blank. “The growth of women’s sports over the past few years has been remarkable, and as we’ve seen through
our other golf properties, women and girls are participating in the game at a higher rate than ever before. We are excited to provide a platform for the top golfers in the women’s game to showcase their talent and personalities while competing for championships for Atlanta. Atlanta Drive GC has
established itself as a premier team in TGL, winning the inaugural SoFi Cup, and we aim to replicate
that success with our WTGL team beginning this upcoming winter.”
“As WTGL begins to take shape, adding sports leaders like Arthur Blank and the experienced team at
AMB Sports and Entertainment is another substantive step toward building a premier platform for women’s team golf,” said McCarley. “Partners like Arthur Blank recognize the opportunity women’s sports represents in the modern landscape and specifically the growth opportunity for women’s golf.
WTGL’s fast-paced, team golf format will appeal to the modern sports audience and drive engagement between the LPGA Tour stars competing and a broader spectrum of new fans.”
As a showcase for the skill, personalities, and team spirit of the participating LPGA stars, WTGL’s current roster of committed players includes: Jeeno Thitikul (Thailand, No. 1), Charley Hull (England,
No. 5), Lydia Ko (New Zealand, No. 6), Lottie Woad (England, No. 11), Brooke Henderson (Canada,
No. 23), Rose Zhang (United States, No. 66), and Lexi Thompson (United States, No. 82). Team rosters and brands, including for WTGL Atlanta, will be announced at a later date.
