For the second time in March, San José State women’s golfer Kasja Arwefjäll has been named the Mountain West Women’s Golfer of the Month, this time for her performance at the MountainView Collegiate.
Arwefjäll recorded her fourth top-five finish of the season after tying for fourth place at five-under par 211. She was among a trio of golfers that led the tournament in par-4 scoring (-3). She made 10 birdies and 39 pars for the tournament. She was one of just two players to shoot a 67 in the second round and the fourth player at the tournament to record that score. Arwefjäll is just the 12th Spartan in program history to shoot a 67 in a round.
The Spartans continue their Arizona trip this week at the PING/ASU Invitational on Friday-Sunday, March 26-28.
