Presidents Cup – Saturday Four-Ball Preview

As the United States continues to roll, here is a quick blast on the Saturday, Four-Ball matches. Holding an 11.5-2.5 edge, United States could win the Cup by sweeping the matches.

Somewhere, the NBC executives are holding a prayer group to please for this not to happen.

9:12 a.m. Reed/Spieth (USA) vs. Oosthuizen/Day (INT)

Well, it all starts here for the International team, with any hopes of making this interesting. I just don’t see it happening as the US team beat a better International pairing in the morning.

It’s all about momentum in golf and this team has it

Prediction: United States 3 and 2.

9:27 a.m. Berger/Thomas vs. Vegas/Matsuyama

Interesting pairing. This could be the best International pairing of the weekend. Vegas has been driving the ball very well and Matsuyama is there best player thus far.

U.S. Captain Steve Stricker is resting Rickie Fowler in the second matches of the day and while Berger is a solid player, the Internationals could get this one.

Prediction: International 2 and 1

9:42 a.m. Chappell/Hoffman vs. Lahiri/Kim

The American duo cruised in their Friday match and with that, have built a pretty good head of steam. Don’t see this being close.

Prediction: United States 4 and 3.

9:57 a.m. Johnson/Koepka vs. Leishman/Grace

The bombers are back for the United States, with the combination being too much for the Internationals to handle. Power and touch – a scary combination!

Prediction: United States 6 and 5.
