Spring is here and summer is just around the corner, which means the snow is melting and Lake Tahoe golf courses are getting ready to open. The Resort at Squaw Creek, A Destination Hotel, in North Lake Tahoe is scheduled to open its fairways May 26 and welcomes golfers with a variety of golf packages and season pass options.

The Unlimited Golf package is all that it sounds. It includes one night’s accommodations, unlimited rounds of golf (per person), one golf cart (stocked with six beers), and complimentary valet parking. Rates start at $269 based on double occupancy.

Golfers that plan to play numerous times throughout the summer can opt for the Golf Pass, which is $619 for unlimited play.

The course at the Resort at Squaw Creek is an 18-hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The magnificent, links-style course is nestled in the meadow of Olympic Valley, surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Sierra Nevada. The resort is committed to promoting a high-quality, environmentally conscious golf course, using the most ecologically sound maintenance practices to ensure a safe haven for both people and wildlife. It is a member of the Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary.

The new modern meets mountain design aims to give guests a sense of place as it draws inspiration from natural surroundings found in the Olympic Valley and surrounding Sierra Mountain range.
