Tiger back in the field at Genesis Open!

The last of the West Coast swing portion of the PGA Tour starts Thursday with the first round of the Genesis Open at the fabled Riviera Country Club in Southern California.

With Tigers Woods back in the field, count on plenty of coverage and interest in this event. Turn on the Golf Channel at any time this week and it seems like it’s Tiger TV.

How does Tiger fare this week coming off his performance at Torrey Pines where he made the cut and played all four rounds? Well, it’s not an easy question to answer, but there is one thing for sure – he does not have the history at Riviera that he does at Torrey Pines.

Tiger has won multiple times at Torrey but has struggled at Riviera. Tiger better improve his game off the tee or he won’t be around to play the weekend.

It does promise to be some good television with some of the pairings, at least the first two days.

Tiger is paired with Justin Thomas and Rory McIlroy the first two rounds which will be a lot of fun to watch. Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson and Adam Scott make up a big hitting pairing that will not be for the weak of heart.

Here are my fantasy plays for this week. Salary cap ($100,000): Xander Schauffele ($30,500), Kevin Chappell ($28,000), JB Holmes ($17,000), Aaron Wise ($9,600), Beau Hossler ($8,900) and Tiger Woods ($4,900).

One and Done: Tommy Fleetwood.
