The California menās golf team earned the Outstanding Team Academic Award from the Golf Coaches Association of America for the 14th time in the past 15 seasons on Thursday.
Ā The Golden Bears were recognized with All-Academic Team status for maintaining a team grade-point average of 3.0 or better throughout the 2022-23 academic year. Cal has received the award in each of the past eight years ā including the prestigious Presidents Special Recognition in 2020-21 ā and 14 times since the 2008-09 campaign.
The team award is the latest in a slew of academic honors earned by the Bears this week; rising seniors Aaron Du and Sampson Zheng and former Bear Simon Kwon were tabbed as 2022-23 All-America Scholars by the GCAA on Wednesday.
